Pascal Granger Beaujolais-Villages La Jacarde

Shared with friends and they were very complimentary. Nice minerality. This French Chardonnay is much lighter and not "buttery" like California Chardonnay. Bright fruit and a good acid balance. Truly delightful. Drink it in small pours and keep it cool, as it is less desirable as it moves toward room temperature. Drink it at 50-55 degrees, if possible.

It reminds me of something in between a Chablis and a Sauvignon Blanc. Truly delightful. Drink in small pours and keep it cool, as it is less desirable as it moves to room temperature. Drink it at 55-60 degrees, if possible.

A really interesting wine. Light, crisp with some sweetness. Not "buttery" like a California Chardonnay. Almost a cross between a chenin blanc and a sauvignon blanc. I am told that only 5% of wine from Beaujolais is a white wine, so this is rare, indeed.
