Thienot Champagne Brut Vintage

Pinot dominerad aromatisk med finnäs. På doften återfinns en tydlig röda äppelskal, gula äpplen ton som kompletteras av bröd, mandel och nötter. Vinet är balanserat och mycket komplext efter flera år på sin jästfällning samt flask ålder. En underskattad producent som visar hur pinotstil inte behöver resultera i en brist på syra och fräschör.

still going strong - lovely champagne

Champagne tasting for some colleagues. This one was used to highlight what characteristics come with ageing as a mid-old wine. Dominated by honey and cream, a lot of colleagues were surprised by this one after trying the N.V’s. A round and balanced wine from a top vintage, perfect to drink right now however can easily rest for many years to come.

65/25/10 PN/C/M of which 18%GC, 47%PC. Bottled 05/2013. Disgorgement date not specified but the tech sheet on the producer's website says 8 years of aging and the cork code is Y2108J, so I guess August 2021; dosage 6g/l. On first opening this is a rather tart/aggressive wine. It benefits from 30+ minutes of air. Then the nose is rich, some candied lemon, some fresh herbal notes, a little yeasty note. Nice and mature with a lovely “creamy” caracter

Great champagne indeed. Consentrated and elegant with a long after taste. Drink now and every day. ;-)

Christmas 2023; 12/24/2023-12/26/2023 (Home) : On the one hand this is a vintage Champagne with a 93.1 average on CT... but ultimately it came across more like the "forward... easygoing" wine that Galloni scored 88. The Nyetimber that preceded it was blander than I'd have liked, and this wine pushed that further; I can't remember anything about it, except that it tasted sufficiently of Champagne.

Brödigt och väldigt gott

Låt ligga minst 4 år. Riktigt bra redan nu 2020/21

Doftar lite lätt brödigt, citrus, röda äpplen, snäckskal. Väldigt fin mousse och skarp syra med lite röda äpplen, smör och brioche. Väldigt ungt men fina små bubblor och känns som att den kommer bli bra om några år.
