Pretty good. Bottle variation. Hi-c fruit going away. A bit flat 1st nite, 2nd nite evolved in to respectable refined Napa wine.

Nose of dark fruits, burnt sugar, and herbal notes. A touch of cedar wood and cocoa is also present. Overall, very nice. On the mouth, it is medium plus in body, nicely chewy, with little acidity. Tannins are primarily front of mouth. Taste is ripened black berries and dark currant. This wine is pleasant and drinking well now.

Great cocktail wine for clearance price of ten bucks. Milkshake style. Some RS. Soft, low acid, no heat. Delicious. Goes down way too easy. UPDATE: got a bottle with less fruit and a harsh note.

Pours a rich ruby color. Smells candied with strawberry jam and black cherry ice cream. Spices are fun and well-matched -- cinnamon and a little clove. As it warms, licorice and milk chocolate come forward. Smooth tannins, low acidity, juicy; just a tiny bit too sweet. Dirk fruits, more of a white chocolate and a lingering hint of coffee come out in the mouth. Keep it a degree cooler than usual and have cheese in the meal -- very nice.
