Very enjoyable Pommard with some sour cherries and quite fresh for 15 years and needed some time to open up. Medium bodied with good grip and length.

Decanted 1 hour. Pale crimson, some bricking. Floral and cherry bouquet with an elusive tobacco leaf note. Round entry, gentle build to a pleasant high toned cherry palate. A bit thin and tannins still a little tough. Medium final, a bit disjointed overall. I'd heard good things about this wine but frankly for the price paid I think there is better value elsewhere. Appealing smell of ripe fruit, raspberry, mushrooms, leather, with a nice sweetness on the palate, young tannins and all supported by a subtle acidic backbone. Everything next to each other though, give it a few more years to mingle. 13% alc. 88+
