Tahuna Sauvignon Blanc

Quite an amazing coincidence - second bottle in barely a week or so, this time courtesy of Des and May. This was again served a bit on the warm side, so impressions were very similar. Sweet tropical nose - pineapples, passionfruit, gooseberries wafted out of the glass. All a bit more obvious now because we drank from larger-bowled glasses. Slaking the Mid-week Thirst (La Chaseur, New Bridge Road) : A bit of shock to the system after a whole weekend of Loire SBs, but this was nevertheless pretty nice, even when we drank this a tad warmer than we should have. It had an ultra fruity Marlborough nose - gooseberries, passion fruit, tropical fruit punch. Really attractive, and not overtly grassy either. The palate had tons and tons of acidity.
