White Bordeaux is great. Even the cheaper ones are of high quality. Hade it to ham gratin, good match.

At first a very nice grapefruit nose. In the taste good fruit and OK acidity. Also rather much oak, and a green, sauvignon blanc note, which contributes to the firm character of this wine. Seems a bit more balanced compared to one year ago, but lacking elegance for me. At the eights day, at least with food (mussels), still more together, indicating the potential to be kept. At the first day 89-90, at the eights 90-91.

Not overly oaked, dry but floral and hint of sweetness. Grapefruit, lychee, mature apple, crushed stone. Felt a bit diluted.

Medium straw with reflections of yellow. Boisterous but not overdone, on the nose this jumps out of the glass with aromas of fresh apples, baked pears, papaya, lemongrass, custard, crushed stones and toasted bread. On the palate this is medium to full bodied with medium+, laser-like acidity. It enters silky and soft but finishes bright and crisp, dripping with minerality. This is delicious, crowd-pleasing and very fine.

Pale gold color. Fresh, ripe stone fruits, lemon rind, well integrated oak, a slight nutty hint and herbs. Medium bodied palate with nice mouthfeel (quite oily and viscous), very balanced with loads of acidity but also bags of fruits. Long, tongue coating finish. Stellar.

No formal notes. Really good nose. Rather much oak in the taste. A rather thorough wine, that needs some more time to gain balance. For now: (90-)91.

CWG Tasting - AGM, Bordeaux (Ernie Els Winery) : Pale straw with a touch of green. The nose opens with ripe Valencia orange, lime peel, fresh herbs, vetiva and woodland flowers. The wine's lively acidity and soft, oily texture contribute to a rounder mouthfeel showing notes of melon skin, lemon zest, and some nectarine. While the wine carries some freshness, it lacks definition and drive on the palate, giving an impression of softness and simplicity rather than precision. There's a …

Thanksgiving Week 2023; 11/19/2023-11/24/2023 : Sister's selection. Decanted one hour. Pale-medium straw. Big whiff of petrol on the nose. My dad said carburetor cleaner. Everyone picked this up as well. After that, I got white flowers and some heat. On the palate it is certainly full bodied, creamy, acidic, with lime and tropical fruits. The second glass was served more chilled than the first and turned toward baked orchard fruits, especially apple. Long finish. In my brain the finish lasted …

Mildly, honeyed lemons, lime, mango, spice and flowers create the character here. On the palate, the wine is creamy, fresh and fruity with a juicy, finish that shows off its green apples, yellow citrus, and oily-textured pears easily. Drink from 2023-2031.

No notes taken but I very much agree with previous comments on this wine. Paired it with lobster ravioli and a green herbal velouté and the grassy, herbal notes in the wine were spot on as was the peachy sweetness in relation to the slightly sweet lobster meat.

Nose: Taste: the fruit (lemon), acidity, minerality, and oak were very well balanced. No wow wine, but modest, rather precise and elegant. Excellent. At the fifth day the oak was more prominent. First day: 91.

Flowers, lemon rind, orange blossom, green apples and spice create the nose. Fresh, creamy, fruity, juicy and lively, with a blast of green apples, pink grapefruit, tangerine and yellow citrus on your palate that hit everything just right. The wine blends 65% Sauvignon Blanc with 35% Semillon. Drink from 2023-2030. 92-92

2023-2035. (Juni 2020)

Pale straw rim with white gold core. Suave fruits mix with a hint of sea salt and minerals. More fruit come in, but caressing, subtle, and elegant. This has a lot of appeal and quite the contrast to the Esprit Chevalier blanc. Nice balance. Fresh and bit lighter, yet has some complexity and precision. This should be quite nice indeed. 92-93

Airoldi - Bordeaux En Primeur 2020 (Quay Restaurant, International Passenger Terminal, Sydney) : Cream, gooseberry, tiny passion fruit and green apples. A smidge of sulphur. Juicy and fleshy on the palate, mouthwatering acidity, fresh gooseberry fruit, medium plus length. Okay.

Mineral and pools on the nose, cool and focused. Some breath and fat, quite rounded, offering white fruits with some greener touches. Good texture – creamy and silky; intense and stimulating, and it builds. All here. Very good.

Very pale in color, with intriguing lemon-orange notes along with seashells and briny. Lighter weight, more "fresh" style. This is excellent. Made a bit differently than let's say, Esprit blanc or Clos des Lunes. More elegance with pure notes. While this may not have big structure and weight it dazzles as it so appealing. Perfect with all knds of seafood. While this was just a sample, we drank this one up as it was so good! Tasted June 2020. 92-93 …
