Red, medium intensity. Developed to mature nose, complexity dominated by red berries. Medium plus acidity and tannins, well grained. Complex flavours with dried red fruit and integrated old oak. Good length with a green note attached. Drink now/soon.

Darkish red, paling edges. Nose w grass, green peppers, some minerals, touch of tobacco. Ripe tannins, medium acidity, ripe fruit, touches of liquorice. Medium aftertaste. Good balance. Very good QPR (15 euros). Will last another year or two.

Tasting the November 3, 2017 new releases (små partier) at Systembolaget (Stockholm) : ripe berries, peppery, some green peppers, but perhaps a bit too simple with more raw green pepper on the palate. I liked the nose more than the palate. (82-84)

Cool and composed with some Loire-Chinon markers but felt a bit lightweight and lacking the depth and complexity I was expecting. Not over the top by any means but just.. a tad uninspiring..

Very typical Loire CF, with tight and vivid tannins, medium+ length, blue and bitter fruit, sloe, green bell pepper, somewhat metallic. Would never have guessed age 10+ years, still has some time to go.

A beautiful Cabernet Franc, mature but still light with notes of licorice and orange peel, blackcurrant and juicy. A little low on acid, moderate tannins. Color deep purple.
