Mushy mushrooms, lots of woodsy stalkish notes, spiced, a bit burg ass and crushed mulberries but also displaying quite a persistent menthol nose like that of sports balm. Assertive acidity for its vintage and age. Has some nice rounded cherries but quite a bit of typical woodspice notes. Suspect this was not destemmed . Short finish. Decent wine that has lasted quite long for a village of an unimpressive vintage, just kinda unintegrated with some alc heat to the back …
