Annual Coravin blitz - day two (My place, Kent Street) : From Coravin. Wet, slightly blurry, pyrazine, red berry fruit, sweet spice and a little white pepper, a candied cherry note as well. Juicy, fleshy, red berry but less sharp than I had expected. Having said that it drops away quite quickly. Indistinct tannins here. Hmm.

Impromptu Supper with E&M (Fix St. James, 111 Elizabeth Street, Sydney) : No formal note. Ripe fruit but more in the red than the black spectrum with some herbaceous notes. Firm, structured and robust tannins lend weight to the mid palate. Well balanced but still a puppy, plenty of time left here.
