I Cacciagalli Phos Roccamonfina IGT

I've used the phrase "more interesting than delicious" several times in my tasting notes, and it is fitting for this wine too. The wine offers deep, intriguing aromas of sweaty leather, blueberries, plums, licorice, and yeast. Aglianico is a very serious grape. On the palate, this wine is too tannic, too tart, and generally too austere. It's possible that this wine could improve with age as the tannins soften. I wouldn't count on it.
