Slow ox for 8 hours. Drank over 4 hours. Wow. Super impressed with this. Deep, dark color. Nose of gum tree, leather, black and purple fruits. Smashing palate - effortless power. Impressed with the balance here - nothing overwhelms, yet the flavors are powerful. Finish is big and long, and evolves over its 45+ seconds. I recall trying this with Julien back in June while in Napa and it struck me as excellent and worth buying a few bottles. But …

This had been opened a few hours prior to tasting. Big, black and blue fruits on the palate. The texture on this wine was incredible - no heaviness or oak. And a lovely lingering finish. Still has a big grip . . . only going to get better with time.
