Drank this over two days. Lots of fruit on the nose. It was better the first day and has started to decline. If you have this I would recommend drinking up, it still is enjoyable now but should be drank soon.

Over the last 8 years or so I have enjoyed this one periodically. And it's just a super good Cabernet Sauvignon. Having opened my last bottle this evening, I will agree with the few people that have said, "drink now.". Still has good fruit, but one can tell it's on its descent.

Day 1: 95 pts. Day 2: 94-95 pts. Lovely well balanced napa cab, smooth with silky notes throughout the palate, more life left but in its summit right now. Second day faded a little bit but not much.

2nd day notes. Deep opaque eggplant. Nose and taste of cedar, blackberries, strawberry and forest floor with some peppery ash on the finish. Nicely integrated tannins give a silky dry mouthfeel. Has a nice hefty weight to it. Has really aged well and in a great drinking window. Solid 94.

Second time having this wine and time has been good. This has a very elegant nose of red stewed cherries, blackberries, and a little too much vanilla (from the new American oak). The palate is rich, complex, perfectly integrated tannins, and a very nice flavor profile with a decent finish. Overall, really nice wine. Hits all the right notes for a good Napa Cabernet. Probably in prime drinking window now.

I decanted through aerator about two hours before consuming with prime aged fillet, roasted vegetables, and au gratin potatoes. Was rewarded with an excellent example of a fine Napa Cabernet. It was very well balanced and paired perfectly with the meal. Not a bargain at $100, but a decent value compared to other high end wines from the region.

Really a fantastic bottle of wine - I don't get why this wine gets bad reviews looking through previous tasting notes. This wine pours a deep ruby red, the nose is very elegant from the get go. Lots of stewed strawberry jam that is very pleasant, some perfumed roses, and a hint of cigar box. On the palate it is full bodied, rich velvety mouthfeel that just explodes in your mouth. Wow. Napa Cab at it's best. First ever consuming a Cabaud but I was truly impressed. Unmistakable Napa cab with aromas blueberry pie, flowers, leather, wood, moss and vanilla. Needed an hour or so for the alcohol to mellow. Soft tannins with a smooth finish. Very well balanced. And oh so tasty - Fruity. Some spice and pepper. This can only get better and better with age.

A nice wine from the Eastern side of St. Helena. Nice purple color with lighter red and purple fruits. More of a feminine wine that had a nice mid-palete but not much of a finish. It did not have typical terrior notes from St. Helena.

A plush and oaky Cabernet that offers more fruit than complexity - but is a pleasure to drink nonetheless. Dark purple in color, full in body, nose of boysenberry and (a lot of) cedar. Soft tastes of blueberry pie, mocha, vanilla, and graphite, with a lingering and pleasing finish that lacks much tannin (after about an hour decant). 14.5% alcohol.
