Villa Maria Chardonnay Single Vineyard Ihumatao

One of the great wines, still drinking lovely, time to finish up this wine. Creamy, a bit of acid, plenty of fruit, just great, but probably no development left.

Very youthful and vibrant. Lovely citrus florals , tort acidity gives wine freshness and liveliness. Nuisance of brioche. Quite refined elegance to wine, treads lightly but with purpose

Nearly 10 years in this wine still has a freshness which is impressive. Oak has integrated well, and there is a spring in the cittrus and lychees on the nose. Some butter on the palate, and just a smooth medium acid taste flowing through. Great wine.

Light gold colour, nose of peach & nectarine with a hint of nuts, creamy finish. Beautiful nose and incredibly complex. On the palate, starts with stone fruit melded beautifully with French oak nuttiness and well integrated creamy malo characters. Touch of grapefruit and honey on the finish and acidity perfectly balanced for good structure and incredibly long finish. Decanted very gently for 20 minutes before serving. Golden in colour. Varnish, wooden instrument case, grapefruit, stone fruit nose. Palate similar with almond, pineapple and a smooth creamy finish. Beautiful wine.
