In a bit of an awkward place at the moment. Day 1 lots of VA that didn't mesh well with rich dark fruit Day 2/3, magnitude of VA pulled back and wine felt almost flabby / overly candied black fruit. The acid that remained still was nail polish-y rather than integrating/lightening the dark fruit Disappointing showing vs my last bottle... hoping these pull together more over time - next bottle in 2-3 years

Amazingly elegant! Ripe fruit, fine oak, light smokey and balanced acidaty. Everything in harmony! In a good place now, and can probably go for 5-10 more years.

Waechter label. This illustrates the hazard of buying only one bottle. When to drink? Duration risk; Prematurity; it's confusing! Over 45 hours, resealed tabletop, this gradually includes the observer in view of deep, savory/root aromatic saps of *pinot noir.* Before that it larps: gliding, easy to like, red wine of the north. Transparent and gloszy. Very obviously premature. lyrical, penetrating, deeply stated flavor range control. Tannins are busy conquering bedrock for the roots; they will step into the more sweetly …

A significant step up from the 2022, this was richer and clearly achieved a greater degree of ripeness, more balance too, with some raspberry candy and juicy fruit balanced by puckering acidity. I liked it a great deal, and perhaps more so than a 21 Fourrier Hautes Cotes tasted alongside

Beautiful wine, aromatic, slippery, silky texture. Black raspberry, dusty black cherry, mushroom, soil, touch of perfume. A little more personality would make it memorable vs just a tasty bottle (esp given the price)

Aromas of red cherry, red plum, blackberry, sweet roasted nuts, beef stock and roasted mushrooms, spicy red roses, a little beets and pine forest, a touch of citrus, this takes time to open up... Riper and fuller than I expected this would be, and it feels like oak has given it a fair amount of personality, but the oak influence is supportive and not obtrusive, and I don't think there's any new oak involved. Tannins are fine, fruit is luscious, …

stein; 5/11/2024-5/15/2024 (home) : 13% abv. AP 11. NOSE: a curious, translucent dance of fruit and meat—violets, sap, sous bois, foraged berries; slate crumpled with black pepper; effortless. MOUTH: frontally withdrawn; deep with sappy botanicals and stony earth. Dry austerity presents in a way familiar in young Burgundy to cellar. Sheer, sapid textures barely contain rigid spines of acidity. This bottle was open within the hour. Cuspid 91-92. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘢𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨s are 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘵, raised 𝘪𝘯 …

Really loved this. Needs some time to come together - I was a bit disappointed day 1 but by day 3 it was singing and had a lot of depth Cherry, slate, good acidity, medium finish. Going to try to keep my hands off of these for a while
