Seebrich Niersteiner Ölberg Riesling Eiswein

meh. Lightly syrupy, medicinal, tropical fruit. For a $30 375 mL, this needed to have more than one dimension.

Nice solid riesling eiswein. Nose had freshly cut pears, apple skins, honey and fresh cream. Really enjoyable wine that is concentrated but still light and fresh; 8% abv helps. Palate is focused with peaches and apricots, laser sharp acidity and a nice fresh mouth feel.

On the nose - apricots, peaches, bright honey. On the palate - orange rind, touches of pear and hints of raisined apricots. Finish is quite long, and sweet but with really excellent balancing acidity. If it is missing anything, it’s a little simple.
