Very lightly toasty, and citrus forward with bright M+ acidity which in turn provides really pleasant tension. Fresh, and mineral driven too with some wonderful white fruit on the palate gradually developing green apple notes too. Bro WT figured out its a Blanc de Blanc, well done! 100% Chardonnay, mainly from the vineyards of Trépail and Villers-Marmery. Includes Premiers Crus from the Montagne de Reims area, blended with fruit from the Côte de Sézanne. These are typical chalky soils, which …

This is going to be a re-run of my previous tasting note from nearly a year ago. It is delicious and quite powerful on the nose. The mousse is especially fine and noticeable. But the most distinctive aspect, that others have also noticed, is the palate. It REALLY does develop in glass over about an hour. I am not sure you can/will resist it but if you can its actually worth decanting this and waiting for 30 - 60 mins.

2007 vintage, needs a little air to open up fully. Nice toasty maturity here to mix with the creamy orchard fruit, really a lovely wine, in its prime and I’d love to know if it develops more with time.

Have had in my cellar since 2016 so has a bit of age now. Bright, light gold hue, fine beading. Nose: stone fruits, pears, some yeasty notes. Nice complexity. Palate: medium+ body. The acidity is now nicely balanced and in check. Fine finish. Excellent.

Good, especially at this price point. Lovely brioche and yeasty nose, coupled with some citrus and apple notes. Some acidity (med to med low). Not much minerality though. Still, very good QPR. Private comment: Again, check if this bottle came from CdV or (more likely) S.

Its been a long time since we and this and on this occasion 2 very consistent bottles were opened as an aperitif for our event. Bright and firm, sharp and very much an aperitif in style , less round than we remember it from a few years back . Works well as an aperitif. 90

First time with Palmer & Co and this didn't disappoint. Very pronounced brioche and yeasty nose, like rolling out pizza dough in the kitchen. Energetic, fine mousse. Crisp with a tingling acidic finish.
Taster #6381 · May 22, 2022
Pale lemon colour. Aggressive mousse. Medium and developing nose with yellow apples, lemon, toast, butter, brioche and wet stone. Medium taste of yellow apples, lemon, toast, brioche, butter and wet stone. Medium (+) long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good BdB. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well as an aperitif, or with cured meat or shellfish.

2 bottles drank contemplatively without food over a long evening. Served in a large white wine glass. Very moderate mousse and few beads but of impressively tiny pinprick bubbles. Deep straw-gold colour looking quite mature. Nose of hay barns and nicely lifted, fresh-crushed Oyster shell. Palate is fresh acidity followed by burnished copper and very lightly toasted barley. Juniper berries. Quite rich and deep-bodied. Vinious almost flat but more minerality and verve emerges with more time in the glass. Definitely …

Gourmetklubbens fyrtioåttonde middag (Tema: Dekadens) (A+N, Duvbo) : (From magnum, disgorged in 2007) Deep yellow colour with a stream of fine bubbles also showing a wonderful nose with roasted coffee, butter and grapefruit notes in a delicious maturing way. Dried fruit and with a refreshing grapefruit citrus acidity on the palate. Opens up on the lengthy finish with a refreshing zesty bitterness and some fruitiness as well. This is still showing a nice intensity on the palate and of course …

Nyårsafton hos A+N med P+A, F+A, R+J & H (Duvbo) : Nice yellow colour with a stream of fine bubbles opening up the nose showing seashell, minerals and lemon with incipient maturity still standing back. The acidity on the palate is typical of the vintage and the finish is lovely showing lemon peel so that it almost feels salty on the lips. Very wonderful right now from a magnum bottle without any reductive tones dominating yet, which is something I …
