Rocca di Castagnoli, Toscana Stielle Rosso, IGT

Mørk rød med lysere kant. Litt uklar på farge. Ubehagelig nese,våt hund,jord toner. Kan komme av manglende lufting (P&P). Flott frukt røde og lyse bær. God fylde,lang fast ettersmak med pent integrerte tanniner. Meget god vin,overraskende for en 20 år gammel vin til SEK 160.-

Perfect drinking window

Aroma of leather, tobacco, dark berries and licorice. Flavor is much the same. Nice mature wine. Good qpr.

Brief note. Clear, medium intensity, garnet color. Fully developed nose with lots of tobacco, forest floor, mushroom, spice box and dried herbs. Some dark cherry and prunes is also coming through. Medium acidity, medium(+) body and medium, rounded up, tannins. Medium intensity of flavors. Lots of earthy flavors but a bit more vibrant fruit on the palate. The finish is medium and a bit dried out. Not the most exciting wine but worked well with pizza after a long day …

Mature sangiovese with an earty nose and a palet of eary and ripe berries combined with very rounded of tanins.

Corked.

Great sangiovese with some complexity and with a lot of fruit left. Quite a bargain at 20 euro.

Frugten ved at gå væk, skal drikkes nu.

I was expecting more from this wine. First sip showed a lot of tannins and a certain level of fruit. An hour later it was dry and dead. Straight after opening this would have been 85+ ..although, it seemed like it needed some breathing. Maybe a bad bottle - or just beyond its peak :(

A Very Casual BYOB Evening : A very straightforward blend with ripe fruit that showed no sign of fading. Plenty of acidity to match our steaks, but no real structure or complexity.
