This is really a very nice chenin blanc. QTR is better known for its great cabernets (with Thomas Rivers-Brown as winemaker), but this white is very well made. It is very young, but is showing a nice austere stoniness, balanced with some waxy fruit (green plum, gooseberry) and hints of crushed hazelnuts. I like this a lot and look forward, and fully expect, it to gain more weight with another 2-3 years in the cellar.

Nice stony fruit nose with some good mineral spice. A bit lower acid and simpler, friendly fun waxy white fruit flavors. Clean with good minerality, a wine Somms would love. 87
