- Aromas of black pepper and tobacco. It's lacking fruit with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a medium finish - Nice Cabernet but should have been drank 3 years ago.

Delicious. Even though it was old it took an hour of air time to open up. Soft tannins lots of fruit flavor, nice balance. Real pleasure to drink

Contrary to the bottle I drank ~4 years ago, this bottle was stored in a Colorado basement and chilly wine fridge, and it was in a very nice place, showing some aged Cab notes, especially on the nose, and a balanced. flavorful palate. Showed well with and without filet mignon.

Outstanding wine. Took to Spruce S.F. This is a beautifully aged wine. Soft tannins, still has plenty of fruit. Easy to drink and everyone loved it.

Definitely ready to drink, but not over the hill. Fruit and tannin up front in good balance. Finished well and held up for about an hour before it began to fade. Three 1997 cabs with prime rib and it was second to the George de Latour and far ahead of the Rodney Strong. Not an outstanding wine, but a v ery good wine and a pleasure to drink.

had w/ steak and compared w/ 2003 clos l'eglise. Had noticable initial flavor and light tannins, but lacked complexity and balance. Clos l'eglise was superior. Drink now or in the near future.
