Thegreen1985 tasting notes are spot on. By far this is the best Ottocento red I have ever had. Long and silky black and red fruit, mint and dark chocolate driven finish is irresistible. Power and elegance in perfect harmony. At the peak. Drink now and over the next 10 years. Paid astronomically high price of 155 euros in San Canzian Hotel & Residence restaurant. https://san-canzian.hr/ 94-95 pts.

Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner (Château de Meursault) : Small glass, Rich and fun, good balance. Nothing that requires contemplation, but very satisfying.

Deep purple color. Smells of cherries, smoke, menthol, some volatile acidity. After that it opens up with aromas of forest floor. On the palette sour cherry, blueberries, blackberries, pepper. Pretty acidic and tannic but those give it good structure. Full body, and medium lasting aftertaste. Some rough edges can be found at the aftertaste, other that that great wine. 93/100

Powerful flavors of black fruit, blueberries, vanilla and nutmeg. Dry. Full body. Medium acidity. Chewy tannins. Excellent balance. Very good structure. Complex. Long finish with black fruit and tobacco. A wine that has matured a lot in one year. Needs 3 hours of air until it opens up totally. Very enjoyable. Great with food (pasta bolognese) and on its …

Dark purple in color with notes of ripe berries, earth, leather, and a lively pepperiness. Full-bodied, complex, and soft. Let the wine air for an hour or so and it becomes well-balanced and elegant. Long and deliciously chocolaty finish. This vintage is something very special and for less than EUR25 a bottle, the wine is a bargain! A blend of Refosco and Merlot.

Blend from (Croatian) Istria: Refosco and Merlot. Aged for at least two years into big oak barrels (1000 to 2500 l). 15 % alcohol. Tasted day one, drank day two. Deep red, almost purple, color. Fresh aromas and flavors of black fruit, pepper and licorice. Dry. Nice medium acidity, full body, soft tannins. Nice complexity, balans and strucure. Long spicy finish. Overall: Day one: Closed and unbalanced, not impressed. Day two: Wow, this wine really transformed after some air. Full …
