Past it’s due date. Too much raisins taste. Still some fruits left, tannins are gone. Strong body

Definitely showing its age, but wow, what a wine! Despite some raisin and a glycerin sweetness, there's still plenty of structure and fruit. Drink now.

Fabulous. Deep, intoxicating smell, taste opens with blueberries, cream and chocolate. As it opens it reveals layers of vanilla, strawberry, dark cherry, oak and hints of spice. Long, long finish. Huge, plush structure. Yummy!

Huge, powerful wine with incredible intensity and focus. Tannins so soft they are sweet. Layers of flavors, tons of complexity, and the Old Ghost hallmark of blueberry notes. Yummy!

Easy drinking, was a little late and thus lacked some complexity but solid smooth tannins, dark ruby red color with a leathery plum flavor.

Surprisingly Port-like. Alcohol was a bit hot and the fruit a bit hidden.

CT drinking window ends in 2014. Absolutely no reason to drink now. May or may not get better with time, but this one will last, as it is, at least for many more years. PnP and drink over two nights, with Vac-U-Vin overnight. Big, dark, almost opaque. Dark purple-red. All dark fruit: blueberries, blackberries and plums, especially the plums. Very, very tart ? to the point of being bitter and sour ? at first. Less offensive after 60 to 90 …

Light in body, definitely not the usual Lodi fruit bomb. Overtones of cherry and vanilla and very peppery. I can imagine this being a cheeky substitute for a Pinot. We had this with a home made moussaka which was great but didn't help the wine at all. I am guessing it would pair better to a steak Diane or a nice Hungarian goulash.. How's that for creative drivel.

phenomenal nose of tobacco and leather, spicy warm fruit taste that softened and became more approachable after a couple of hours of air. great with roasted tenderloin.

An exemplary rendition of an in your face old vine Lodi zin that may not be for all but I personally enjoy every now and then. Dark, smoking, brooding, hedonistic, strawberry chocolate fruit that lingers on.

Had at a dinner party with several other reds of higher price & pedigree, and one consensus emerged on this one. GREAT NOSE, best aroma of the night. The taste couldn't possibly keep up, but it was still a nice fruit forward (almost too much so), bold, spicy, zin. When allowed time to open, it mellowed the initial bite mentioned by some.

It was really rough at first. Neither my wife nor I were impressed, but after a while it opened up and got yummy.

OK bottle but for the money you can do a lot better. Honestly not much different than the Klinker Brick Old Vine which is half the price.
