Good. Red fruit, earth, some stewed fruit components. It was time to finish up.

Waited 1.5 years after drinking the first bottle before opening up another. Not any fruit on the nose but perhaps some of the mint we experienced but now it is very subtle. Bold on the taste with a dry and dusty mid palate and a lot of prune on the end of the finish. Easy drinking and great accompaniment to the grilled pork chops we had with it.

At something of a slight loss to explain how I found this bottle knocking about although CT shows that I don't own it apparently. Surely I did not make a mistake (?). On the last showing, I did not find it particularly alluring and we left it off the list for the shipment this spring. However, this bottle showed better than the previous (for whatever reason). Bright forward fruit, medium acid, a bit of that Mediterranean garrigue and earthiness going …

Yum: bloody, plummy, bright.

Perhaps a disappointing wine from this likable winery in a more obscure locale of the Russian River. There again, it is at the bottom of the price range. Starts off well with a floral fragrance on the nose, a hint of lavender, and some garrigue, earthy, rustic flavors but fades rapidly on the palate.

Rustic tannins and nice acidity. Definitely carignan animal/herbal quality but not without it's plummy black cherry thing. Like a pice of venison with a cherry rosemary black pepper sauce

Straight out of the bottle it was incredibly underwhelming. After decanting over an hour it really opened up and became spectacular. Drunk from a Zalto burgundy glass. Loved it.

Had this at a barrel tasting at this small winery and purchased the futures which came over a year later. We were too impatient to let it age--we had to have some. Upon first sniff we got a very fresh mint/eucalyptus nose. Not at all tannic but still pretty acidic so this is asking for some additional aging. I would give it one more year in the cellar. It should be drinking great for the holidays in 2015 and beyond. …
