Emerson Vineyards Pinot Noir Avelina

This wine needs a long decant. It did not really open up to fullness for about 4 hours. Give it another year or two or decant well. It ends with deep dark cherry flavors, and while a bit clunky, is an interesting pn.

Pinot Light if there was one. Hardly anything going on and certainly nothing to justify the price.

This is the run off juice. The aromas are much larger than the regular WV Pinot Noir. Big, but mild, soft, but concentrated fruit aromas coupled with new oak. The palate is soft and mild again, but really fruit forward without much structure. Still pleasing, with a light tartness. More light tartness on the finish, which is also lightly herbal, minty, and slightly alcoholic.
