Drank from 375ml. A deep orangey brown colour. Nose was full of orange peel with some apricot and caramel with some slight petrol aromas. The palate was not too sweet with a rather syrupy and broad, luxurious mouthfeel. Flavours of peach, apricots and creme brûlée came to the fore. The finish was slightly short.

Nice marmalade, orange peel nose with marmalade and spicy flavors that only just avoid being cloying. Last bottle.

Really good wine. Very deep gold (pee) colour, Lucious, deep, honeyed botyrtis nose. Similar on palate, lots of sweet orange marmalade citrus fruit. Well balanced with nice orange marmalade acidity. Long finish. This is in a perfect place. Delicious wine for the tariff.

My bottles say Beresford Reserve by Step Rd Winery with a different label than shown here. At this point, the wine is fine, displaying a honeyed, nectar nose with Botrytised notes. Flavors of honey, orange marmalade, sweet, smoky botrytis and a finish that continues for several minutes. Perhaps displays hints of cough syrup from a high ester level in the wine

My bottles are actually labeled Beresford Reseve. Apricot nose rises from the glass with hints of orange peel, the wine has well integrated sweetness framed by apricot, orange peel and marmalade notes. Long finish but perhaps just a tad of alcoholic heat on the finish.

Nose of apricot, orange marmalade and crystalized ginger. Lively apricot, orange marmalade, orange zest, creme brulee on the palate. Well balanced, with enough acidity to keep the sugars from cloying. Long tamarind vanilla finish.

Solid, apricot, orange marmalade wth a good acidity to balance the sweet. Oak vanillan and orange marmalade on the nose. Finishes just a bit short which prevents a higher rating.

Smokey, lime peel nose. Still pretty fresh in color, not over-oxidized. Nice pale gold, the color of apricots just ripening. Pretty massive, sweet (about as expected), stone fruit, citrus peel. Mouth coating and a nice finish, 30-45 seconds. Decent deal.

Slightly cloying, but a very interesting tasty sweet wine, nice acidity long finish - excellent with pumpkin cheesecake and also with blue cheese.

Kicks butt for the price. Nice acidity as it warms in the glass with sweet tropical fruits.

Similar flavour profile to the last bottle I had of this with lots of tropical fruits, apricot, banana and marmalade flavours across the nose and palate, but this felt a little bigger and more syrupy in the mouth without the acidity to balance it.

Had with bleu cheese for dessert. The acidity really came through in a nice way after being opened for 40 minutes. Good QPR while the sauternes sleep.

Salil in NYC + Dinner with Doug (NYC) : i just dont see that Mr Parker meant when he said Barsac. It tastes more like lower-end Austrian TBAs, and with 10% alc feels a lot more like them too. Canned peaches/apricots..key is "canned" - very ripe, carmell and toffee, custard notes, lacking a bit of acidity. finish has that same austrian tba note of some bitterness..Good but not great. (but the .375 under screwcap is EXCELLENT!)

Bright gold colour with a sweet nose of pineapple, banana, apricot, tropical fruits and honey. Rich flavours of apricots, peach, banana, pineapple and marmalade follow on the palate with low acidity and a medium length, sticky finish.

Casual Friday (Chez Nous) : Medium gold color. Intense nose of tart apricot purée and coconut. On the palate, peach and grape concentrate, very full and expressive but a bit too cloying.

--Impressive amber-marmalade coloring. The nose shows hints of peach and white tea along with orange-cola syrup although the main theme here is apricots. Smells of a very basic Sauternes. The palate is very massive and cloying as well as one-dimensional. The apricots dominate everything and provide all palates which a chance to be attacked by syrupy glop. Perfect for ice cream, pretty difficult to drink.

Excellent sweetness / acidity balance. Apricot, pineapple. hint of petrol. A little caramel on the finish. Overall I liked this very much.

Solid effort, plenty of sweetness even though the color is pretty light.
