Bernard Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru La Perrière Très Vieilles Vignes

Pronounced nose intensity with red and blue cherry, spices, toast, strawberry. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. First time drinking and I think its an old school style which need a lot of time to ageing properly.

All bottles opened approximately two hours before dinner, then decanted 30-60 minutes before being served. Burly black fruits on nose and palate, very dense and backward, seemingly quite unfriendly tonight with some awkward edges. But clearly lots here in deep sleep. More patience will be required here than for almost any 2014 I have ever tasted.
