Dark brick red, quite thick. Tannins still a bit wild, grippy and fiery, and dry on both nose and palate. Chili, earth, dark cherries, juicy and meaty, good length though mostly driven by heat. Will develop.

Relativt sötfruktig med plommon och svarta vinbär, lite granbarr och en del grön paprika. Någonting som påminner om ketchup eller BBQ-sås :confused: I munnen rejält med tanniner, skarpa syror, lingon (?) och en viss hetta. Rejält men inte så raffinerat, gott till en hemgjord hamburgare.

Lots of Cabernet on the nose. Dusty minerals (whatever that is?), wood, ceder, dark fruit, cherries, earth, tobacco, a little perfume and something green. Medium+ acidity, dry but packing plenty of fruit, some tannins, medium+ body, medium+ length and intensity. Very well made, immaculate but a bit boring. Decent QPR at 190SEK.

Dark fruit, cacao, leather, ballpoint pen, abundant cassis. Quite massive nose. Well made. Palate is full throttle with balance, integrated tannins and a very nice acidity. Heat slightly expressive. Ok length on the finish.

So I love stellenbosch cabs. But for what was an ehhhhh year, this is a really well made cab. It's just got the classic nose and texture. This one will go for years. I will have trouble keeping it but I should probably not touch it for another year and go one a year.
