Modus Operandi Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Ridge Vineyard

Lovely nimble wine with balance and restraint. Punchy nose of dark fruit and ocean air. Actually starts a touch punishing on pop and pour with the tannins standing out but with some air you get quickly to both red and dark fruit- I get more red than blue- plus some sticks and cedar. Longer finish than expected after the not-over-the-top mid palate. Very good to drink now with some air but I’m guessing better in 2027.

This Cabernet Sauvignon showcases a beautiful fruit profile, with prominent blackberry, bramble, cedar, spice, and pepper notes. It is a clean and well-crafted wine with a red fruit undertone. I rate this wine 4.3 out of 5, or 93 points.
