Nose of powdered chalk, with notes of rose and rockmelon. Flavours of rose, mandarin, and river stones. Heavy, full-bodied, high-alcohol mouthfeel. Not much acidity or tannin, but lots of minerality and alcohol. Feels balanced. I wasn't expecting much from an eight-year-old Gew�rztraminer from NSW (made in QLD), but this was a hidden gem.
