(16/20) Blind tasted. Pleasant wine. Nice acidity, fine tannins, well-integrated oak. Could be a Bordeaux blend, but the fruit feels slightly riper so perhaps a super Tuscan? Nope, Greek blend of Kotsifali and Mandilaria. Medium intense aromas of violet, red plum, blackberry, blackcurrant, black pepper, liquorice wood, vanilla, black tea, leather, tobacco. Dry wine, medium+ acidity, medium and fine-grained tannins, medium+ body, pronounced flavour intensity, medium+ length finish. Wine exchange @Felix

At Irida Wine Restaurant, Crete, Greece. 13.5% ABV. A blend of Kotsifali and Mandilaria. Red and dark berries, strawberry, meaty notes, herbal notes, chocolate, spices, light vanilla, and balsamic notes, with medium-level acidity, well-integrated tannin, and very good length. Medium-bodied and well-balanced. In a good place, and drinks very well. €10.90 in Greece, and if this was from Pomerol it would be three to four times the price! Amazing value for money!
