A bit subdued and shy. Typically notes of clay and volcanic rocks like ryolite. Yellow fruits and apricot on the nose. Full bodied and broad phenolic attack. Nice, but not quite balansed. Considering the price payed on Bortarsasag in Budapest in 2014, this is still a great bottle of wine for the money. 14% alcohol and 2986 bottles produced.

Quite a firm wine even at age 6 looks like its built for the long run. Reminded us at times of a Rhone White and at times to a Loire ( Nicely enough we had the 2011 Cotat Monts Damnés after this, Papies 92) with respect to its texture with serious concentration, rich fatty palate feel and full on minerality. Very solid wine. 91 and lots of life ahead.

Perplexing to try blind as it draws notes from bordeaux blanc, loire and a bit of austria at times. Could not place it to save our life. The nose starts muted and shy but developed after an hour or so with good hints of citrus. The palate had a rich core, light waxy at times well round but …
