Pisano Tannat Río de Los Pájaros Reserve

Deep ruby in colour. Nose of blackcurrant, smoke, plum, vanilla, cranberry and cardamom. Blackcurrant, mushroom, cherry, plum, vanilla, pepper and liquorice on the palate. Dry and full-bodied with medium acidity. High tannins with a medium-plus, earthy and fruity finish with a distinct baking spice note. 100% Tannat

poured a little bit after opening...poured it through an airrater... smelled a little sweet and a little barnyard-y. Taste was good...but needed more time... about 1.5 hours later, was more floral on the nose and a touch of bitter on the back end. Less tannins than expected. a touch sweet, a little spicy. Good, not great.

Brownish ruby rich color, nose straight out of the bottle is quite Malbec/tannat grapy smoky, good drinking wine with straightforward grape flavor. Present in mouth but not big and not finishing strongly

Inky black, sweet blackcurrant and Black Forest gateaux. The palate is tannic and sappy with black fruit, good acidity, nice balance.
