delicate oak with apricot and floral notes. palate has hints of citrus, honeysuckle. finish a little on the short side. overall, I'd say it punches above its weight price/quality-wise (I've just ordered more!) was amazing with scallops and cognac cream sauce!

Nose - highly aromatic, floral, expressive, apricot, tangerine peel, almond, modest oak. Taste - moderate acidity, with that signature mouth-filling richness: ripe apricot, peach, orange and an almost oily texture. Delicious, slightly short finish compared to some Condrieu. Matches a wide range of dishes - this time complementing well a harissa poussin with pearl barley and butternut squash. Elegant and lovely.

A lovely bottle of Viognier from Stéphane, we tasted this at the vineyard earlier this year and picked up a couple of bottles with my shipment, wish I had gotten more. A great wine at a very good price, even with international shipping. Flowery, silky, light stone fruits, minerality. Acidity kept to a minimum.

Tasted blind. Moderate lemon in the glass. Highly aromatic showing notes of orange zest, white florals, peach. The body is full, with somewhat oily texture with moderate acidity. The ripeness of fruit and warm alcohol (14%?) point to a warmer climate, possibly Mediterranean such as Rhone Valley or more southern parts of France. Viognier. I thought Gewürztraminer at first, but the aromas are not leaning to the signature lychee and Turkish delight. A good wine, but slightly shorter finish.

White flowers, honeysuckle, citrus nose. Complex but restrained. Rich, fine, long. Good weight. Elegant. Lacks the power and complexity of the Jacques Vernay (another of his Condrieus), though that is 2019. For me and just on these 2 wines, this is the 1er Cru, the Vernay the GC. Very fine, long and with good weight. Day 3 - Richer, rounder flavours. Wonderful.
