Packed with sour cranberries and a touch of wet leaves but still a very young wine. There is a great intensity and especially the acidity profile makes this wine stand out as something special. There is a great balance and a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. An absolutely stunning wine and most likely one of the best Spätburgunder producers from Germany.

Grosse Gewächse Presentation (Conservatorium Hotel, Amsterdam, NL) : Retailer tasting, brief note. Ripe fruit, generous, rounded and supple, already approachable, the oak needs some time to integrate on the finish, but seems well judged.

Tasted at the premiere Grosses Gewächs at Kloster Eberbach 25/9/2011. Fruit and vegetality, elegant with velvety tannins and concentration. Beautiful wine!
