11.5% ABV. PNP into Grassl Liberte glass and Zwiesel Giacomo Conterno Sensory glass side by side (“Flower” day): Pale bright garnet to the eyes. There is the signature ultra dark red berries, salt-preserved plums and smoky dried herbal and flora, leafy notes from this vineyard - indeed quite the powerful expression of the Yoichi Pinot Noir but this is a very fine and detailed effort from the great winemaking. Pale ruby to the eye. Alluring blue and red berry notes. Lots of great floral and spices. More classic style in a good way with tons of minerality and stuffing as support. Definitely some toasty notes likely from the oak but this is greatly integrated. 94 points easy.
