What fun! It's very exotic but also very slatey, and extremely long. Ylang-ylang, passionfruit, kiwi and parmesan... how intriguing. Acidity is fairly moderate for Riesling. I'm a fan, but it's a relatively challenging wine given the wallop of unusual flavour.

Howard Ripley German Portfolio Tasting (11 Cavendish Square) : Red slate soils. Dry but very ripe, structured and spicy. A step up from the producer's other GGs in terms of weight and heft. Impressive.
