Check-in on this wine due to recent notes on a bottle that was advanced...but luckily my bottle was not advanced in the least. Still a youthful 2010 with a lot of structure and ample dark fruit. Good acid and chalky tannins. Spicy wine! Black cherry cough drop. Drinking well in a young way, but will hold other bottles for further positive development.

Blind Burgundy Tasting (Ouvo Wine Cellar - Chicago IL) : Tasted blind. Mostly black fruits, good volume, but getting tired already. Disappointing when unveiled, wondered if correct.

Pop and pour, improved with some air. Gorgeous perfumed red fruit, some citrus, balanced earth, acid just above the liminal level. Very enjoyable now and right up my alley.

Nose has nail polish, clay coverd dark fruit and oak. Palate has good intensity probably because of the vintage. I find it a bit austere and one dimensional. Interested to see how it will develop.
