The solera character dominates on entry (apparently reserve wines back to 2011). The toasty, leesy character backs off to let the brightness and effervescence predominate as the open bottle breathes. Overall an energetic and relatively light-weight Champagne at this stage.

So much minerality, salt and sea. It’s the same feeling I get as when I’m eating a fresh Oyster. Definitely a special champagne.

Luscious, ripe, generous. A splendid bottle from Epernay, late harvest (it was 2011 after all) and fully oaked. The color is pure gold, a polished jewel. Fine mousse, but fastly disappearing. SLDS July 2020 - Re-United : 817 bottles made. Sea spray, ginger and marshmallow on the nose. Ginger flows across the palate as well, there is some sweetness but it gets cut through well. Good texture and length. Lacy and lemony. Nice stuff.

2009 vintage

DG 05/2018 Very exuberant and exotic nose. A lot of mature yellow fruits, guava, mango and oranges, all kinds of coconut (fresh, dried, milk), cocoa butter, wax, some balsamic notes, liquorice, vanilla, macadamia nuts, fresh milk, a hint of toffee. Very dense and fatty texture, creamy, refreshing acidity. Complex and really satisfying. 92pt

Nice little aged nose champagne - very easy drinking and suttle bubbles - pretty good

Best quite cold. Pretty quenching, quite a bit of lemon and citrus, nice mouthfeel. A bit sour on the finish.

Off tonight. Not too-unpleasant-to-drink, but marred by bleu cheese funk on the pop, and some asparagus/gym sweat notes as we proceeded.

Super dry, taught, quivering. Fresh and vinous. First time with their wines and really impressive. Would be interesting to drink with meal or see how develops. Nov 2014 disgorgement.
