4th and final bottle, still delicious. Drank with garlicy Italian food. Hard to pick up some of the nuances. Great nose and flavor. Sorry to see it go, but bring on the next!

Similar to the last note with a couple more pronounced flavors and smells Opened and ran through a vinter. This time I am getting bing cherry on the pallet. I think that the CH notes calls for blood orange, and i understand that, i was thinking a sourish amarena wild cherry. Still tasting great Terrific nose. I think blackberry is coming through. Great bargin for a terrific wine.

Opened and ran through a vinter. Terrific nose. Hard for me to pick out the exact scent, but maybe raspberry and or blackberry. The mouthfeel is luscious, soft tannins, i could never imagine the higher alcohol content, as there is no heat at all. Lots of blueberry, strawberry, and mocha. Juicy, approachable, and easy to drink, with enough complexity for the most ardeent conisour. Medium length, soft finish. I am glad i have 3 additional bottles

Very big and structured. Fruit is drying a bit.

Dark, inky, long legs. The perfume of oak andd cedar come through. The dark fruits are there. Really nice, fuller in the mouth than most cabs.

Luxurious. Memorable. Decant at least two hours.

Popped and did a fast 1-pass decant. This is a dark red/black color with a pretty big dark fruit and cherry aroma. Taste follows the aroma nicely with black fruit and minerals, somewhat heavy in oak, with med-low acidity and smooth tannins. All in all, this is powerful, but still very smooth and balanced and even though it’s 15.2%, there’s no heat at all. I really do like wines from Monte Russo. I’d give it 90/91 Points and a Very …

This wine is dark and concetrated. Decanted and poured over the next 2 hours. Fruit is compact and tight. Deep cassis and blackberrys, oak and cedar. Wait 2+ years to try. The last monte rosso from cam.

PnP with friends as a 1st bottle test. Beautiful dark elixir in glass and extremely tight at first. Needed about 2 hours to start opening up. Hints of florals and cigar box. Bright red fruit tones, nice balanced acidity and tanins on the palate. This one will need a few more years (maybe 5) to come into it's own... let it rest or allow for a long decant if you must have now.

This Cabernet has a lot of Syrah characteristics at this time. Fruit forward but with a little funkiness on the back end. Nice structure. A little light at the mid-palate right now. I think give it some time and the hole in the middle should fill in, leading to a more complete experience and a better score.

Slight improvement over the previous bottle. Ripe Cabernet fruit without much complexity.

The color of this wine is opaque and the fruit is just starting to come out. Even after a decant of about 1 hour it is still tight. Fruit is packed in there. Too young... will be delicious.

Early. Needs more time and a good decant.

My overall impression is consistent with GALEWSKJ's note below. Gritty tannins dominate. Very young and disjointed on the palate, with fruit being too upfront. Not enough complexity and depth (yet?). Several hours of decanting improved the wine, adding more balance and smoothness.

Slow o'd for 3 hours, this was served after some much better cabernet as someone wanted to see if Cameron Hughes hype was correct in that it can compete with $80 cab's. Well, not GOOD $80 cab's it can't. In fact, I found this a lousy QPR at $35, as did most people at the tasting. Quite simple. This is a basic cabernet that I would serve with a steak and not think about it too much. I'd especially try …

Extremely good Bordeaux style cab. Not a Napa style fruit forward cab. Muted fruit with layers of oak leather tobacco. Hints of earth & spice. My preferred style. Great QPR
