Tasted today together with 2001. This is fading. Might be a long fade, but it is going. Have two more bottles. These should go in the next two years. Still enjoyable, though. 2001 is better.

For the love of god decant this wine, PnP was virtually undrinkable at first but everything blew off nicely. Very rustic and wild but very enjoyable after the initial funk blew off. Definitely a fun wine to explore.

My last bottle, I think. Same as last year. Animalistic barnyard wine, but very gentle and integrated. Enough tannin to hold everything together, and just enough fruit to avoid being watery. After 2 hr slo ox and 1 hr decant.

Very impressive now. Gentle, but powerful. Sort of a velvet hammer. Smokey, bacon-bitter chocolate wine. Really love it.

Like drinking liquid soil, this is surely not a pretty-pretty Cote Rotie, but a rather manly wine showing barnyard funk, earth and dark toned, rustic fruit. It's a wine of tremendous character, complex and not facile to drink. I love Levet's wine generally, this one I liked a lot for its genuine expression but I didn't love it. With Henrik at 10 Cases in London.

Big Wednesday Wine Night (Extra Space) : Popped & poured. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, garnet colour. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of smoke, leather, and barley. On the palate, medium acidity, medium+ tannins, full body. Flavours of spices, white pepper, and just a bit of dark fruit. A bit hollow on the mid-palate. Can't tell if the fruit is just sleeping or already faded. Medium+ finish. Elegant and drinking nicely, but a bit disappointing for a Côte-Rôtie.
