Domaine Jacques Prieur Chambertin-Clos de Bèze

Bottle in impeccable condition; very deeply colored; enormous, powerfully effusive nose of dark cherry, plum, paste shoe polish and violets. Very impactful, rich and enveloping, the acid and tannins are remarkably balanced and supportive. Tasting partner guessed 2003. While my favorite burgundies show more age, elegance, autumnal,... this is unquestionably a great wine and should continue to develop for decades.
