The wine looks Straw colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Melon, Pear, and Honeysuckle. It tastes like Pear, Mango, Honeydew, Cantaloupe, and Stoniness. The body is Light/Medium. The wine finishes Medium.

We enjoyed this with an incredible slab of halibut marinated in teriaki sauce with a black bean corn salad. We didnt' chill it too much and it has a pretty rich mouth feel. Plenty of acidity. I can get the flavors of melon and meyer lemon noted by the winemaker. The aromas have honeysuckly and jasmine (winemaker notes). I don't get the white peach and orange blossom but it's getting on for a Pinot Gris. There is quite a bit …

As it warmed from fridge temperature this wine got better and better. Surprising body for Pinot Gris, almost Chardonnnay in ripeness, pretty good acid. Notes of pear and citrus in the nose. Clean, no oak, just good fruit. Fine summer wine.

About as big as Pinot Gris gets. Ripe, showy aromas of honeyed apple, citrus and stone fruits. Flavors are bright despite the high alcohol and extreme ripeness. Notes of apple citrus, and apricot have good concentration .

11/21/09: Very rich apple flavors. Almost sweet there's so much ripeness. A touch too much, but a crowd pleaser. 87 10/20/09: Lots of melons. Very ripe fruit, but it pulls it off. Quite rich. Nice acidity though. This is pretty tasty stuff. 88+
