Pale tawny with slight sediment. A bold, medium (+) profile of jammed strawberries and cooked red plums gives way to beautifully aged notes of leather, mushroom, and forest floor. Past its peak but still drinking wonderfully—an absolute dream paired with slow-braised lamb shoulder.

Garnet with a bit of rim clearing. Drank some immediately on opening, also let some air for several hours. Rich ripe fruit notes of cherry preserves, raspberry, and red florals on the nose. In the mouth, preserves of plum, black cherry, and cranberry, higher acidity but stewed reductive fruit notes. Fine grain tannins grip and let go into a mouthwatering finish with anise, black pepper, tobacco. In terms of age, it still had acidity, grip, and interest, with tertiary fruit …

ABV: 14.0%. If you've never had Ruchè then you definitely need to try it because the nose is absolutely captivating. Notes of potpourri, ripe stone fruits, and Asian spices immediately jump out of the glass. On the palate, there's ample acidity, lifting the fruit tones and keeping everything intact. The pleasant finish is lengthy, but I think this wine could use some more time in the cellar (another 5 years?). However, if you're planning to open a bottle soon, decant …

This really stood out amongst many wines at a party. My first thought was Schioppettino (SIC?). Juicy fruit, light to med. body, pepper aromas. Looking forward to trying this again.

Upon opening this bottle, you are treated with a pleasant aroma of fruits, oak and herbs. The color is a little brownish which usually means it is time to drink now. Plenty of tannins and a spicy finish. Second day, a little flat, herbal taste is over powering, finish is short to medium. Reducing my rating from 92 to 90

Nice bouquet of cedar oak with sweetness Dark wilted cherries with cigar box undertones. Deep and subtle with mild tanins that had released their grasp like a championship fighter in the twelfth round. Enjoyed with muscles marinara which brought some contrast to the deeper undertones. Paired better with the pene bolognese. Would have been happier if was paired with braised short ribs. A great bottle that shone despite the average food fare, like bringing robin Williams to a kids party...something …

Fully resolved now. Aromas are still beautiful and intense, as befitting Ruché. Roses and other red flowers all over the nose. Fruit is mostly dried/preserved cherries, strawberries and raspberres. Some black pepper, cinnamon and nutty notes. There is also a dusty earth note that almost overwhelms the remaining fruit. Acid and tannins are still hanging on. However, with how tertiary the flavors are; I think this was better two/three years ago.

QPR-wise, this wine is a 9.8. Nose is a 9.7. With cranberry cheddar, this wine is a 9.9. With dinner, it bows down a bit too much...9.1. By itself, it's a little thin...9.1. Complementary wine but do NOT drink without fare. 100% Piedmont Ruché, this wine has a great rose petal floral and red berry perfume nose. I THINK this is what the label says as well, but my Italiano isn't so bueno. Entry of red berry fruits, cola, mint, …

My first l’Accento (100% Ruchè, a small-production indigenous Piemontese grape), this was served slightly cool at a lunch party from magnum one hour after decanting, and was open and appealing right away. Big fragrance profile, primarily floral but also red fruits, hints of sweetness; same flavors but more pronounced sweetness, a bit of spiciness, and a rather “soft” wine with just enough acidity to make it work with a variety of dishes; decent length, bitter cherry finish. Drink to 2022. …

I really have no idea what grape or blend is in this wine, but for $25, this is a fine wine. i would definitely buy again. In contradistinction to other comments on this wine, it is not on its last legs. I am not saying it needs 10 years, but if you have a few bottles, you have at least a couple of years to enjoy them.

Unless I have misplaced a few bottles, this was my final bottle from a group of 18 that I bought. For the price that I paid, it was a solid wine. In the past, I have said that it seems to be a hypothetical blend of Sangiovese, Pinot Noir and Gamay. This bottle leaned much more towards the nose and tastes of an old world Pinot Noir, than the other grape types.

Having gone thru quite a few of these, I think this is fading, lower acid showing and getting a bit flabby in comparison to earlier bottles, I prefer a bit of zip and this didn't have it. Will need to purchase more current vintages as this is a wine I really enjoy

Part of a Barolo tasting with my wine group, opened, but not decanted for at least 45 minutes before pouring. Since this is sometimes called a "baby Barolo" I put it in this tasting. I've gone back and forth on this wine. Last night I really enjoyed it. The A/C in the restaurant was having trouble keeping up with the NYC heat and humidity and this was a very refreshing wine. Light, acidic and a medium short finish.

Brownbag in Göteborg by Finewines.se (Göteborgs Vinkällare) : I really don't like this wine. Awful, terrible! To my sensory system, it's getting worse with each encounter... Ruché is a never-again-grape for me. Bergamot overdose. Foul roses overdose. Terrible! I have nightmares... If you like bergamot, than this may well be great for your taste. The wine is well concentrated and intense, albeit light. But it's rather bergamotty...

¤FW - Intense on the nose. Lots of pepper, earl grey, perfume, flowers, lavender and synthetic cherries. Medium to light bodied, with some good concentration and a grapefruit like bitter finish, almost campary-like. One of these wines that I can't deny its quality, but i just can't stomach the aroma character.

A wine of two halves - Wonderful, quite unusual on the nose - cherry and blossom, red fruits, sweeties, hint of sandalwood and cloves. Promises a fine experience and yet... and yet, mean in the mouth. Acidity and lack of body whacks it out of kilter, almost astringent. Like sucking on a joss-stick. But what a perfume...

An unusual wine from not quite a positive aspect. Almost very good from an objective quality POV. Beautiful red color. L-sized nose of roses-roses-roses, litchi and amaretto. In the mouth it is a wine of M+ acids small tannins and M- body. Gives a very young impression with a taste profile that reflects the nose. We found it overly perfumed and four people couldn't even finish half the bottle. VERY unusual for THIS gang. I'm sure there are fans of …

Translucent garnet. Yes, it's young, and yes - it's not all that concentrated. Fruit-forward and VERY peppery, it still works fairly well. Very easy to drink for likers of "New World" wines who are in the mood for a nice, simple glass of wine.

Too lacking in concentration and acidity to be more impressive standing on its own. Personally, there's a little too much 'Strawberry' on the nose and palate. For a light, sweet wine to accompany spicy food, would work fairly well.
