Appearance: straw yellow, vibrant Nose: galangal, curry leaf, kaffir lime, lanolin, slight whiff of honeysuckle Palate: tight, firm acid, like a current vintage Hunter Semillon. Lemon lolly, gravel. Good length. This is perhaps the tightest white wine I have ever enjoyed. Perhaps the 2015 Singlefile Vivienne Chardonnay was tighter on release than this was ten years ago! It is still very tight. Screw cap. 11% alc. This wine is so youthful in appearance. Remarkable. Pale gold. Lemon, honeysuckle, white florals, lanolin. Just so morish. Drinks well, but still has a decade or more in front of it.

Screwcap, 11% alc. Pale, glistening green-gold. So youthful in appearance. Intense, piercing nose of lemon, fennel, honeysuckle, cut grass, and lots of earth and gravel. Acidic, saliva-inducing, tense palate with plenty of drive in a light-medium bodied frame. Gentle toastiness. Opinion: youthful, steely and lean Marsanne just starting to enter its drinking window. A wine for contemplation more than enjoyment at present.

Screwcap, 11% alc. Youthful pale straw-yellow. Interesting nose. Lemon, honeysuckle, mandarin, hay, white flowers, candle wax, lanolin, plus a savoury, earthy note. A faint raspberry like sweetness in the distance. Firm acid, felt at the back of the palate and the finish. Toastiness builds with air. Held up well over 1 week open, remaining fresh, acidic, powerful. Opinion: Not particularly complex at the moment. Needs time. Drink over the next 10-15 years.

Screwcap. No formal notes taken. Double decanted, and needed lots of air to open up. Very acidic with little fruit showing. Not a powerhouse as I recall the 2003 being. Decent length. Give it more time; 5+ years.

2012 Sydney Royal Wine Show - Exhibitor's Tasting (Olympic Park, Homebush) : Bronze medal. {screwcap} Developing aromas of grass and hay, with a thick greasiness about them somehow. Phenolic palate of honeydew flavours; medium acid, medium body. Sits rather on the front palate, manages a medium length finish but lacks a bit of excitement overall.

2011 Sydney Royal Wine Show - Exhibitor's Tasting (Olympic Park, Homebush) : Silver medal {screwcap} Relatively restrained nose of soft honeysuckle and white-flower fruits. The palate is very acidic and doesn’t taste 7 years old; there are greasy-textured grapey fruit flavours with a tangy sweetness to them.
