Drinking nicely. Very smooth, balanced end to end. Earthy notes with a hit of cocoa.

Winery: Darker frt, grt wet earth & strawberry; earthy, bitterish, but nice! Fuller, structured, well-bal. Ripe red frt, gamey earth.

Full bodied with dark berry notes, spice, and a bit of heat coming through form the 14.5% alcohol, but nothing too distracting. Silky smooth texture, and great balance. Drinking well now.

So easy to drink and it looks like pinot not syrah, other than BC, this might be my favorite Santa Rita Pinot

A dark, full bodied pinot from the young and talented duo of Kenneth-Crawford...this pinot has a completely different style from other pinots produced in the area such as Melville or BC...really intense flavor in this wine of darker fruit...highly enjoyable and looking forward to the 2005 offering.

Tasted at a wine bar on August 4, 2006. Aromas of raspberrry, cinnamon, and other spices, provide a nice antecedent to the wonderful flavors of ripe cherries, vanilla, and just a hint of mushroom. Very nice acidity and mouthfeel. Delicious!

This wine was surprisingly tasty and balanced from the moment that the cork was popped, in contrast to the other '04s from the area that I've opened, which need varying amounts of air. I may have to incur the wrath of my wife and go relieve the store of their remaining inventory.
