The nose conveys black fruit, Indian spices, and florals on a bed of pine needles. Tart, linear, and brambly in the mouth. Displays blackberry and plum flavors, moderate length, and a characterful finish. Rustic, balanced, and integrated.

We don't get much red wine from Cotes de Gascogne, so we don't exactly know if this one is typical or not. The nose, and the palate both have a very rustic, evergreen, maybe hemlock, or zinnia style flavor influence. The color is moderate to heavy magenta. Surprisingly rich mouth feel. A sharp, evergreen entrance to the palate followed by moderate blackberry and plum flavors. 12.5% alcohol is easily integrated and capably balanced. The finish leaves something like a stemmy …
