Jezebel Pinot Noir

Popped and vinturi'd. Mostly cherry on the nose, medium bodied almost big for an Oregon pinot. Flavors of ripe cherry, spice and a bit of tomatoe, a bit of acid on the finish. I really liked the wine on Day 1, Day 2 the wine had opened, and seemed a little flabby,and riper than on the first day, to me not quite as appealing as Day 1. Pretty good 2nd label from the folks at Daedalus.

Very light floral nose. Medium Bodied. Not bad but not good either. Its good enough to serve to people that don't care what they are drinking without looking like you really cheaped out.

A pre-birthday visit to some new places in the Willamette Valley : Very fruit forward, yet pretty on the nose. Light red berry flavors are all this really expresses on the palate. It's pretty, but light. Pretty nice acid on the finish, with a mild greenish red fruit. Pretty good for the low end.

Aroma was light, and showed hints of red fruit, earth, and tobacco smoke. Flavors were a little on the tart side, with cranberry, earth, and must/mildew being what our panel of eight stated most often, though a couple panel members also tasted caramel. Lighter bodied in general, this Pinot had a bit more acid and tannin than desired. Short finish. Not one of the evening's favorites.

Predominately Battle Creek vineyard Pinot Noir, blended with a host of other Oregon vineyards. Pink-red color. Sweet cherry and caramel nose – great aromatics. Medium-light bodied with a sweet cherry palate and light oak. Very good balance. Medium-long finish. Incredible drinkability – this is a terrifically friendly and approachable everyday Pinot.
