80% Nebbiolo, 20% cabernet sauvignon. From a grocery store near Cabos, then cellared a year. 1 hr decant, chilled to 50 degrees. Garnet color. Nose has black cherry, violets, a little oregano and sage. Medium to full bodied, lots of cherry and berry fruit with a green note. Pretty fresh for 6-7 years of age. Tannins are good at the cooler temp but too much at room temp. This actually reminds me of wines here in Virginia. Farm fresh flavor. …

Medium ruby in color; dried herbs, cloves, and cherries on the nose; high acidty; medium tannins; tastes like cherries, slate, and hibiscus with a long finish. I love this wine. Nellie loves it too.

A Bordeaux blend from a producer I've liked before. Probably the only producer of note in the state of Zacatecas, at least the only one that has wide distribution. Anyway, this has some interesting notes. Gunpowder, chocolate, red cherries and black pepper on the nose. Medium bodied with medium tannin (the Merlot and Malbec REALLY mellow it out). Flavors consistent with the aromas. Great with Mole de Panza (tripe)
