Domaine Sylvain Langoureau Chassagne-Montrachet Les Voillenots Dessus Rouge

Used to cook pot roast.

Prior to this I drank a bottle in February 2018. Two years later this wine is still lovely. A red wine from an area known best for its white wines. The wine is soft. The color is light red. Fruit predominates with some but minimal tannin. A really nice wine. A joy to drink

Moderate red color with a relatively wide, clear rim. Minimal legs. Complex light nose of spicy acidity. Sour cherry dominates the palate along with pomegranate, flowers, fine tannins and acidity.. Long finish. Pleasant.

This wine surprised me. It was the first red from Chassagne-Montrachet that I have had. It was very soft and easy to drink at three years of age. The price was modest for the quality of the wine.
