Purply red but beginning to thin at the edges. Grenache nose - geranium leaves, tomatoes, thyme/marjoram/oregano herbs, some licquorice. Smooth, mature, some tannin left; sweet saddle leather, a little beef meatiness and some bay on the back edge. At its best now, lovely unpretentious S. Rhone with no great depth, but definitely 'a cut above'. GMP 2011.
