Verget Pouilly-Fuissé Clos du Martelet Terroirs de Vergisson

Left in a corner to see. Still fresh, fruity, with a crystalline citrus line and well rounded finish. Can't remember what I paid when I ordered this in 2005, but at its likely price point a pretty good rqp.

Light golden yellow, green tinge, color. Very spicy, high toned lemon citrus, crushed shells, chalky limestone. As sharp and crisp with citrus this wine is...it has a nice cream to the fruit(pear, apple, white peach), as well as complexities of almond butter, lime blossoms, light smoked grey salted caramels. Really tasty and refreshing....and surprisingly VERY complex and substantial for a PF! Great wine!!!

Another delightful Verget Pouilly-Fuisse. My wife describes it as "nectar" alluding, I'm sure, to the golden sweetness and flowers on the nose, and the chiseled flavors of mineral, stone, peach and citrus. Nice finish. Even with the declining Bushdollar this is a good QPR.
